The Jefferson County ATV Club, Inc. was incorporated in early 2002 by a local group of folks who
wanted to see the off-highway vehicles in Northern New York expand. A club was formed with this
purpose in mind. The association was made up of several clubs with in Jefferson County,
Black River Valley Riders (Carthage), NYTRO of Northern New York (Mannsville), Rivergate Wheelers (Lafargeville), Lodge ATV Club (Depauville), Indian River (Theresa) & Phil Ray Club (Evans Mills).
   In 2002 the Phil Ray Club disbanded and joined with the Black River Valley Riders. We are primarily a family oriented group of Clubs which you can find out hitting the Trail most any weekend from early May to late October. Whether it is a day ride or an overnight camp-out at one of our favorite Trail systems, riding new legal areas not close to home or spending a leisure day riding one of
 our local Trails.
   Each of the Clubs conducts a meeting once a month and then all of the clubs meet together each
month for a County meeting to discuss what is going on in each of our areas. One of main goals is to
keep the Clubs current on what is going on within our local, town, County and state Government.
   One of major concerns is that everyone drives with Safety in mind and understands the capability of their ATV’s. ATV Safety Classes are available in our area for riders of all ages! We encourage all new Riders regardless of age to enroll in one of the many classes available with in our County. Which will allow all of us to be safer drivers and enjoy our favorite riding areas.
   Over the past year Jefferson County ATV Clubs have been associated with New York State
 Off- Highway Recreational Vehicle Association (NYSORVA) to promote a statewide network of Trails for all OHV enthusiasts to enjoy.
   As of April 2006, the Jefferson County ATV Clubs, Inc has expanded by developing their own website to provide all ATV riders with update information on up coming rides, events, and current news with our County or state.
